How to update copy and creative in one push
Updated on 2026-08-26
Applies to: AdWing Ads & creative
Change an ad's copy and its creative, then send both to Meta in a single push.
Before you start
- At least one alternative image or video in your creative library.
Steps
- Click Edit on the ad.
- Update the copy — either type it directly, or click Suggest copy (AI) → Generate suggestions → Use this.
- Click Save. This is what commits the copy change locally.
- Click the creative thumbnail, select a different creative, and click Done.
- Click Push, and confirm Push this ad's changes to Meta?
Result: both changes go live in the same push — new image and new text together.
Key point: the two changes are committed by two different actions. Save commits the copy; Done commits the creative. Do both before you Push, or only one will land.
If it doesn't work
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Only the creative changed | The copy wasn't saved before pushing | Edit → reapply copy → Save → Push |
| Only the copy changed | The creative swap wasn't confirmed with Done | Reopen the thumbnail → re-select → Done → Push |
| The creative shows as in review on Meta | Meta reviews new creatives | Normal — usually clears in 5–30 minutes |
See local edits and push for the underlying model.
Live-ads warning ⚠️ Pushing publishes to Meta immediately. Changes affect live ads and can spend real budget. Test with items named
