How to discard changes
Updated on 2026-08-26
Applies to: AdWing Ads & creative
Undo a local edit you've saved but not pushed, reverting the item to its last-pushed state.
Before you start
- An item showing a Pending Push badge.
Steps
- Find the item with the Pending Push badge.
- Click Discard.
- Confirm. For an ad or ad set the prompt is Discard local changes and restore from Meta?; for a campaign it is Discard all unsaved changes? This will restore the campaign to its current state on Meta.
Result: the item reverts and the Pending Push badge disappears. Nothing is sent to Meta. For an ad that only ever existed locally, the toast reads "Discarded — ad removed" — discarding a never-pushed ad deletes it rather than reverting it.
To discard several items at once, tick their checkboxes and use Discard All in the bulk toolbar.
If it doesn't work
| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The badge is still there after confirming | The discard didn't register | Refresh and check the item's current values |
| Your locally-created ad disappeared entirely | Expected — it never existed on Meta, so there was nothing to revert to | Re-create it if you still need it |
| You discarded the wrong change | Discard can't be undone | Re-apply the change and Save again |
Discard never affects what's already live on Meta. See local edits and push.
