How to swap an ad's creative

Replace the image or video on an ad with a different creative from your library.

Before you start

• At least one alternative image or video in your creative library.

Steps

1. Go to the ad set's Ads page.
2. Click the creative thumbnail on the ad you want to change.
3. In the picker that opens, select a different creative. You can search by name and filter by Images or Videos.
4. Click Done to close the picker.
5. Click Push, and confirm Push this ad's changes to Meta?

Result: closing the picker shows "Creative updated — click Push to go live on Meta" and the row highlights briefly. The ad gets a Pending Push badge. After the push, the new creative is live.

If it doesn't work

The creative shows as in review on Meta after pushing	Meta reviews new creatives before they serve fully	Normal — usually clears within 5–30 minutes

Live-ads warning ⚠️ Pushing publishes to Meta immediately. Changes affect live ads and can spend real budget. Test with items named test_ unless you intend to change live ads.
